It was first published as an essay in the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society in 1943. Mandaeaism is a gnostic religion that originated sometime in the first three centuries CE, in southwestern Mesopotamia or environs. Hint of a bump to the top corner, otherwise near-fine condition.
