Samuel Colman (1832 – 1920) was an American painter, interior designer, and writer, who was probably best remembered for his paintings of the Hudson River although he also wrote two books on geometry in art, form and its relation to number, etc. etc. This is a facsimile reprint of 1912 first edition of the first of those books. It is now considered one of the base works on Sacred Geometry. Cloth lightly rubbed, light chafing and bruising to extremities, page edges a bit darkened, one penned note on front blank otherwise a tight, unmarked VG+ copy (no dust jacket if called for).
