Original brown publisher's cloth gilt-lettered on spine & front board, with gilt cross in red pyramid design on front board. Autobiography of Prentice Mulford (1834–1891) a noted literary humorist and California author, who helped found the New Thought movement. Mulford wrote essays and poetry as well as a number of books on mental/spiritual laws including his "The White Cross Library" dealing with the subject of Thought Currents and How to Use Them. Light rubbing to spine ends and corners, bookplate on pastedown, owner's name etc on front blank, tidy note and underline to half a dozen pages - otherwise internally bright, publisher's changes to advert leaf at rear - overall a tight, bright VG+ copy.
