The correspondence drew the attention of Arthur Conan Doyle who wrote the enthusiastic Introduction. Although not marked as such, this copy is from the collection of Dr. M. H. Coleman. Spine a bit darkened and rubbed, spine ends, spine edges & corners bruised and lightly chafed, owner's name on front pastedown, page edges and endpapers lightly foxed, a very few pencil lines outside text (easily erased).
