The second issue of "New Dimensions," a periodical founded by Carl Llewellyn Weschcke of Llewellyn Publications in 1963, at the very start of the late twentieth century revival of interest in the occult. From the outset its editor was Basil Wilby (most of whose works were published under the pseudonym Gareth Knight) a British esotericist and occult author who began his esoteric training in 1953 as a member of the Fraternity (later Society) of the Inner Light, the magical order founded by Dion Fortune. The magazine comprised original artwork, editorials, essays, poetry, reviews, short fiction, etc. on topics as diverse as ritual magick, astrology, witchcraft, miracles, talismans, folklore, clairvoyance, tarot, LSD, astral projection, Kabbalah, UFOs, angels, etc. This issue includes the following articles: Editorial by Basil Wilby; "Magic - Talismanic Secrets" by Margaret Bruce; "Tarot - Miracles and the Magician" by Gareth Knight; "Witchcraft - Witches versus Magicians" by Patricia Crowther; "Folklore - The Crystal Sphere" by David Williams; "Occult Experiences - Fifty-Thousand Watt Psychic Phenomena" by Sydney Omarr; "Magic - Introduction to Ritual Magic" (Part 3) by Dion Fortune; "Fiction - A Donnybrook Under Mars" by Marc Edmund Jones, as well as poetry, cartoons, book reviews, readers letters, advertisments, etc. Wrappers a little creased, a few pen marks in upper margin of first page, and an inked phone numbe on back wrapper.
