The first English language edition of this work which was originally published in Japanese in 1930. It presents outlines of the schools of Oriental alchemy ... eminent alchemists of both the Chinese and Japanese traditions .. [and] a survey of alchemical elixirs, with their compositions, properties and uses. The faintest bruising to spine ends and corners, owner's discreet blind name stamp to upper corner of first blank, else a tight, bright near Fine copy in a VG example of the original slipcase.
