Item #61758 Across the Gulf. Aleister CROWLEY, H. D. Carr.

Across the Gulf.

San Francisco, CA: [ OTO ] Stellar Visions, 1986. First Edition Thus. Large format softcover. Quarto ( 8.5 x 11 inches), (iv) + 62pp (iipp.). Flexible clear plastic front cover over printed paper cover sheet, dark blue plastic rear cover, secured together with a black and blue 2 part plastic back strip. Hand-colored endsheets. Originally published in "The Equinox, Vol. I No. 7," Crowley described this text as a "fantastic account of a previous incarnation. Its principal interest is that its story of the overthrowing of Isis by Osiris may help the reader to understand the meaning of the overthrowing of Osiris by Horus in the present Aeon." The verso of the title page has a series of quotes from the Grady McMurtry versus the Marcelo Motta court case of 1985, whilst the final leaf has a statement about the O.T.O. on the recto, and a list of Stellar Visions publications on the verso. We have seen reference to an earlier (1981) Stellar Visions edition, but have not seen a copy, and suspect that the listing might have been eronious. Obviously the print-run was small as copies are seldom seen. PLEASE NOTE - What may appear like discoloration in the accompanying photograph is simply light reflecting on the glossy covers. A little darkened at edges, otherwise a clean, unmarked VG+ copy. Item #61758
