Chicago, IL: Privately Printed / Collegium Spiritum Sanctum, 1922. First Edition. Hardcover. Large Octavo, xiv + 106pp + 48pp Appendix at rear. Quarter white cloth with green papered boards, gilt lamen imprinted on upper board, top edge gilt, printed paper title label on spine, color frontis and plates with tissue guards, fold-out. Edition limited to 250 copies numbered copies SIGNED by Frater Achad on the limitation page. This copy signed, and numbered 72. A "short Cabalistic treatise on the Nature and use of the Tree of Life" by Crowley's one-time 'magickal son,' was the first of Achad's major Kabbalistic works. His controversial reassignment of some of the attributes of the Tree of Life was first revealed in an appendix to this work. Cloth spine slightly darkened (as usual), paper spine label darkened and chipped around the edges- but (unusually) 95% intact. Extremes of points lightly rounded, soft paper covering of boards rubbed through at corners. Previous owner's name and address on front pastedown and half-title page, ink underlining on four pages, and English translations inked under a couple of Hebrew words. Slight darkening of tissue guards and some pale foxing to the limitation, title, and a couple of other pages. Were it not for the underlining it would otherwise rate as a VG or better copy. (Issued without dustjacket). Item #61767
