Item #62029 In My Mind's Eye. R. H. Thouless, B P. Wiesner.

In My Mind's Eye.

London: Rider, ND [ 1949 ]. First UK Edition. Hardcover. Octavo. 272pp. Beige cloth with blue title, etc, to spine, frontis, 7 half-tone plates. Frederick Marion was the stage name of Josef Kraus, a well-known theatrical performer clairvoyance, telepathy and other 'psychic feats,' during the 1930s & 1940s. Despite his professional use of his talents, Kraus seemingly had a genuine belief in them, and tried to treat the subject with scientific rigour. From the collection of Dr. M. H. Coleman, with his ex-libris blind seal on front blank. Spine and edges of boards slightly rubbed and darkened, upper spine bruised, page edges browned, pages toned but unmarked. Overall a solid, clean VG+ copy in near VG example of the scarce dust jacket (Dust jacket a bit worn and chipped at all edges, spine darkened, slight loss at spine ends and folds, not clipped).
