Whitehall UK: Spiritualists National Union, Limited, 1930. First Edition. Softcover. Octavo. Booklet. 20pp. Original string bound stapled printed wrappers. Front wrapper printed "Private and Confidential." A seemingly verbatim transcription of the conversation between a Deputation from a variety of British Spiritualist organisations, and J. R. Clynes, the British Home Secretary. The deputation was seeking to have archaic laws against witchcraft or vagrancy withdrawn or rewritten so that they could not be used to persecute spiritualists and mediums. The deputation included Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, whose comments are recorded. Genuinely rare - we could find no reference to any copies in any of the major collections, including the British Library, Harry Price, Houdini etc. collections. From the collection of Dr. M. H. Coleman, although not marked as such. Covers a bit darkened at edges, lightly rubbed, staples a bit rusty, pages lightly toned, else a tight, clean VG+ copy. Item #62095
