The author, Coulson Kernahan (1858–1943), was an English novelist, whose Christian-orientated fiction was widely read during his lifetime. In this non-fiction work he describes his experiences at a seance, and the reasons that he opposes Spiritualism. From the collection of Dr. M. H. Coleman, with his ex-libris seal blind-stamped on the front free endpaper.
