The first is his private diary fragments, from 1554 - 1601, that were written in the margins of Almanacs that were housed in the Ashmolean Museum, the second is a Catalogue of his Library of Manuscripts, made by Dee before the plunder of his house at Mortlake. While an important publication, it is commonly acknowledged that the editing of the texts left something to be desired.
