Liber Porta Lucis. The Gate of Light. Sub Figurâ X.

Ellsworth, Maine: Herui-fi Lodge of The Brotherhood of SeTH, 1990. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Small format ( 3 7/8ths x 5 1/4 inches). 8pp. Stapled illustrated wrappers. An unusual printing of Crowley's Liber Porta Lucis which was first published in "The Equinox, Vol.I No. VI. Crowley described it as "an account of the sending forth of the Master by the A.'. A.'. and an explanation of his mission." Although the work had previously been published in a number of different collections, this appears to be its first separate publication. According to a note on the final page it was published by the Herui-fi Lodge of The Brotherhood of SeTH, who are described as "a Thelemic magickal order, dedicated to the homophilic current." The Lodge was apparently located in Ellsworth, a small town in Maine (population less than 8000). From the library of English bibliophile and Aleister Crowley scholar Nicholas Bishop-Culpeper with his book label at the rear. Covers slightly faded at spine, light vertical crease to rear cover - else a tight, clean VG+ copy. Unusual. Item #62507
