Three badges with images relating to Aleister Crowley

(London): ND. Three badges, 1 approx. 1.25 inches in diameter, the other 2 approx 2 inches in diameter. The smaller badge is reproduced from a photo of a shaven headed Crowley staring into the camera, the 2 larger ones have, respectively, "Love is the Law / Love under will" around a central design of the mark of the Beast, and a reproduction of Crowley's line drawing self-portrait and signature as were printed on the first edition of "The Confessions." The badges are (of course) undated but probably date from the "badge craze" that briefly swept Britain in the last few years of the 1970s and early 1980s. From the collection of English bibliophile and Aleister Crowley scholar Nicholas Bishop-Culpeper who has kept them in a sort of faux-leather wallet that perhaps originally housed a note book. All in fine condition. Item #62630
