A New Year's Card for January 1, 1986, for the music group Coil, signed by John Balance and Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson.

NP: Privately Printed, (1986). A single sheet of white card, folded to give four 8.25 x 5.75 inch pages. The first page (front) has a woodcut-type design titled "The Seven Cardinal Sins"; the second page has a small picture of a skeleton and a male figure captioned "...and the Angels Kiss Our Souls in Bliss...'; the third page has "A Happy / New Year / of the / Horse / Rotorvator / from COIL." It is SIGNED "Sleazy" and "John Balance" beneath which in Balance's handwriting "P.S. Any New Crowley items??" and his 'phone number. The final "page" has a cross design with four winged horses. Loosely inserted is a single sheet with announcements re. the band Coil, forthcoming albums etc. From the collection of English bibliophile and Aleister Crowley scholar Nicholas Bishop-Culpeper, who also issued occasional lists of Crowley works for sale which explains Balance's query. A few light brown spots - a bit like rust - on rear, starting to show through, otherwise VG+ condition. Item #62638
