Oaten was a British Spiritualist medium who was also President of the Spiritualists' National Union, and editor of the journal "Two Worlds" from 1919-1936. As a "confirmed Spiritualist" he was invited to speak before the Archbishop's committee which was appointed to obtain evidence concerning the "bearing of Spiritualism on the Christian Church". This volume reproduced the address given by Oaten in support of Spiritualism to the committee. From the collection of Dr. M. H. Coleman with his ex-libris blind seal on first leaf. Covers a bit rubbed and with a light vertical crease, owner's name on upper cover, edges darkened, small printed poem/prayer neatly affixed to inside rear cover, light foxing, unmarked. Overall a tight, clean VG copy of this scarce pamphlet. Item #62708
