The first and best edition of this volume which the author calls: "an outline of the great mass of facts relating to Nipon-to", and it includes chapters: Nomenclature of the Blade, Forging and Tempering, Polishing, History "old Swords", Gokaden and Shintô , Koshirae, Japanese eras with Corresponding Christian Dates, List of the most Famous Japanese Swordmakers and comparative Value of Swords. Spine lettering quite worn (as common with this edition), faint abrasions & tape remains to pastedowns, pages lightly toned - Still a tight, bright and unmarked VG+ copy in VG dust jacket (Dust jacket lightly creased, edges a bit chafed, clear tape remains to inner flaps, not clipped).
