The Oranur Experiment, First Report (1947-1951).

Rangeley, Maine: The Wilhelm Reich Foundation, 1951. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Octavo. Eccentrically paginated. 185-344pp [160pp]. Original white wrappers titled in blue. Errata. The first book format publication of this title by Wilhelm Reich (1897-1957) Austrian-born psychoanalyst and author, who was known for his unorthodox sex and energy theories; and who died in a Federal Penitentiary, where he was serving a two-year prison term for distributing his invention, the "orgone energy accumulator". The Oranur Experiment was Reich's effort to determine if his "Orgone Accumulator " might be useful in removing nuclear radiation from radioactive substances, or in treating radiation sickness. This report on the subject was first published in Reich's "Orgone Energy Bulletin", October, 1951, but Reich felt it was important enough to publish in book form to be more widely circulated. Covers and page edges a bit darkened and discoloured, light bump and crease to upper corner, pages unmarked. Overall a tight, clean VG copy. Scarce in this edition. Item #62942
