Raphael with tissue guard, top edge gilt. A charming copy of this turn-of-the-century work on the art of palmistry. A. Raphael was a pseudonym used to publish a number of books including "Earthology", "The Egyptian Zodiac" and this one. Very light rubbing to edges, a few faint marks to cloth on covers, corners and spine ends bruised and chafed, page edges darkened with a few faint marks to lower edge (die offset from cloth), owner's name in front blank (pencil), pages toned, short tears and chips at the upper edge of a few pages (not affecting text), otherwise a bright, unmarked VG+ copy (no dust jacket -if called for).
