The sixth edition, based on the original authorized translation by Prof. and Mrs. Alfred Hoernlé, originally published in German in 1894 under the title "Die Philosophie der Freiheit". Steiner himself felt that this would be the most enduring of all his literary works. Cloth a bit rubbed, lightly bumped and chafed at spine ends and corners, page edges and endpapers unevenly browned and lightly foxed, pages unmarked. Overall a tight, clean better than VG copy in near VG dust jacket. Dust jacket a little darkened - more so at spine, edges chafed and creased with a short tear to upper front panel (closed at rear with archival tape) and a short tear to upper rear panel.
