Black & white frontis, and photo plates, line drawings by Dwina Murphy-Gibb. Edition limited to 1000 numbered copies. The first major separate study of Crowley's "Rites of Eleusis." Includes the full texts of Crowley's Rites (as performed at Catxon Hall), a 40pp historical Introduction by Keith Richmond, and essays: "The Eleusinian Mysteries" and "Aleister Crowley and 'The Rites of Eleusis'" by Terence DuQuesne, etc. Superb plates of Leila Waddell and others. Boards lightly rubbed overall, corners lightly bumped and chafed, small chip to cloth at upper spine and a couple of tiny ones to bottom edge of boards (shelf rubbing). Page edges a bit darkened, internally clean and unmarked. Thus a tight, VG copy in VG dust jacket (Dust jacket panels lightly rubbed, a bit of chafing and a few light creases around the edges, a couple of short closed tears at lower spine - now protected by mylar sleeve).
