Louis Marlow was the pen-name of Louis Wilkinson, a long term friend of Aleister Crowley's, who read of one of the orations at his funeral and, at Crowley's request, wrote an Introduction to a projected popular edition of "The Book of the Law" with commentaries (posthumously published as "The Law is for All. The Authorized Popular Commentary to the Book of the Law" - 1996). "Seven Friends" contains memoirs of seven of Marlow's literary friends: Crowley, Oscar Wilde. Frank Harris, John Cowper Powys, T. F. Powys, Llewellyn Powys, & William Somerset Maugham. Light foxing to edges, otherwise an unusually bright copy - near Fine - in price-clipped VG dustjacket (lightly foxed and a little frayed at head of spine, light discoloured streak on back panel, now protected by removeable mylar sleeve).
