A "corrected proof" copy of the first Trident Press publication of the "Ars Notoria." The text is from the 1657 Turner edition of the work. The grimoire itself apparently dates from the thirteenth century and is one of the core texts of "Solomonic magick." It basically sets out a magical ritual, with orations and words of power, whose recitation is said not only to lead to mystic unity, but to bestow all manner of knowledge and other earthly boons. This title was subsequently produced in limited softcover, cloth, and leather editions in July 1997. Covers rubbed and unevenly faded, spine faded and chafed at ends. Overall a tight, clean VG copy.
