The first novel published by the Mandrake Press: a fictional portrayal of Judas Iscariot by Roth a well-known Jewish historian of the time. The dust jacket has a long advertisement for the first edition of Crowley's "Moonchild", published the same year, on the rear inside flap. Very light rubbing to edges and points, page edges a bit darkened, endpapers unevenly browned, pages lightly toned with a bit of scattered browning, publisher provides a spare spine label affixed to rear pastedown. Overall a tight, clean VG + copy in G+ original dust jacket (Dust jacket chafed and creased at all edges - folds and extremities, light chipping to spine ends, a few short closed tears, now in removable clear mylar cover.).
