An attractive reprint edition of Mead's translation of this important third century (CE) Gnostic text. Mead was a Cambridge-educated classicist and long term member of the Theosophical Society, famous for his translations and studies of Gnosticism and early Hermetic texts. Light overall rubbing to cloth, light bumping to spine ends and corners, pages toned, unmarked. Overall a tight, internally bright VG+ copy in Good only dust jacket (Dust jacket a bit darkened and discoloured - more so at spine and folds, all extremities chafed and chipped - more so at spine and folds, not clipped, now protected by removeable mylar sleeve).
