Dark green blind ruled cloth with gilt titling to spine, frontis w/ tissue guard, index. An unusual early study and biography of the martyred hermetic philosopher. Cloth is lightly rubbed and has a few minor light spots on upper cover, corners lightly bumped and rubbed, spine ends and edges slightly chafed. Page edges a little darkened, pages lightly toned, many pages unopened (uncut). The tissue guard is quite toned and offset causing a brown shadow to the title page and frontispiece. A few index pages roughly opened leaving the edges well chipped. Still a tight, clean VG+ copy (no dust jacket). Item #63894
