Various materials and excerpts of the Babylonian Story of the Deluge and the Epic of Gilgamesh, along with an Account of the Royal Libraries of Nineveh, focussing in particular on the Cuneiform tablets in the British Museum. The text was originally written by E. A. Wallis Budge, but was updated by C. J. Gadd to take into account then-recent discoveries for this 1929 edition. Covers a bit rubbed, darkened and discoloured with some chafing to edges and a few short closed tears, owner's name on upper cover, bump to upper corners, blind seal at lower corner first leaf, pages toned but unmarked. Overall a tight, complete and internally clean VG copy. Unusual. Item #63918
