The author seeks to present the subject of water-cure in its entirety from the standpoint of a clinical observer. "Water-cure" views water as a universal panacea for all manner of ills. The practice offers a remarkable variety of cures, all of which involve water, be it be imbibed, stood or sat in, poured upon, splashed on, or soaked with. Corners and spine ends bumped and chafed, cloth a little rubbed with a few minor spots, page edges and outer margins darkened, pages toned, endpapers split at inner hinges but hinges solid, LACKING title page to Volume I but title page for Volume II which includes publication details - is present. Overall a tight, unmarked and serviceable Good copy of the scarce first edition. No dust jacket. Item #63937
