Octavo, 218pp. Original brown cloth with gilt title etc. to spine and upper board, black line borders to upper cover, rear cover bordered in blind, beveled edges, b&w frontispiece, b&w illustrations, errata at rear. One of the scarcest works on Pyramid Metrology, written (of course) by a follower of Piazzi Smyth. A presentation copy with Brooke's inscription "With the Author's Compliments" on the front blank (note - it is NOT signed). From the private library of the British Israel Club of of Bournemouth with a number of ink stamps on front endpapers and title page (no other marks). Spine canted and slightly darkened with a bit of light rubbing, spine ends and corners bumped and lightly chafed, some chafing to lower edge, rear board a little rubbed, page edges a bit darkened, rear endpapers split at inner hinge but hinge quite solid, pages lightly toned but clean and unmarked, two short closed tears to lower edge of first "contents" page. Still - overall a tight, clean better than VG copy inscribed by the author. Scarce. Item #63971
