Original bright blue decorated cloth with gilt title, etc. to spine and front cover, black and gilt pyramid design to upper boards, frontis, b&w illustrations; appendix, biblio. and index. Kingsland's work on the Great Pyramids, drawn from - or at least inspired by - the works of Piazzi Smyth, the Edgar Brothers, Davidson etc. Light rubbing to rear boards, a few very light bumps to edges, upper corners bumped with corresponding bump to upper page corners, light bruising to corners and spine ends, light browning to page edges with a bit of foxing, pages lightly toned. Owner's details penned on front pastedowns,Vol II (only) - has penned notes on both the front and rear endpapers, and some pen underlining on no more than a dozen pages, a few creased page corners. The bindings are unusually bright and fresh. Overall a tight, mostly clean set in Very Good condition. Item #63977
