Wellingborough, England: Aquarian Press, 1962. First Edition. Hardcover. Octavo. x + 106pp. Cream cloth with gilt lettering to spine, b&w frontis. A serious study of the magical path by Walter Ernest Butler (1898-1978), who studied with Dion Fortune and was active in her Fraternity of the Inner Light for nearly twenty years. In later life he became acquainted with Gareth Knight and eventually went on to found his own group, the Servants of the Light, of which he remained the main teacher until not long before his death, at which time the mantle was passed to Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki. A few very light marks to cream cloth, spine ends and corners lightly bruised and chafed, top edge darkened and dusty, a few flecks to fore-edge, Aquarian Book Service ink stamp on front blank, pages lightly toned but bright and unmarked. Overall a tight, clean VG+ copy in VG dust jacket (Dust jacket is a bit darkened and discoloured, spine browned, edges a bit rubbed and creased, not clipped. Dust jacket is now protected by a removable mylar sleeve). Item #64011
