Large octavo, xii + 324pp. Orange cloth with gilt and black title, etc. to spine, author name in gilt and other text in blind on upper board, end notes, bibliography and index. Top edge orange. From the publisher: "The first complete English translation of the most controversial work of the sixteenth century Italian philosopher, Giordano Bruno, who was tried by two Inquisitions and burned at the stake in Rome in 1600." Lower spine and corners lightly bruised and rubbed, very faint damp mark to extreme upper edge of rear board, faded patch to top edge of text block, which is also a bit darkened and dusty. All else tight, clean and unmarked. A VG copy in VG dust jacket. (Dust jacket lightly rubbed and creased at edges, price clipped. Dust jacket is now protected by a removable mylar sleeve).
