(ii) + 190 + (ii)pp. Contemporary heavy brown cloth, with gilt-stamped leather title label (like many French books of the period, this would have been issued in wrappers, with the idea that the purchaser would have it rebound in cloth to his or her taste - in this case the binder discarded the wrappers). Nine pages of plates with drawings of her spirit guides etc. FRENCH TEXT. The autobiography of Rosa Agullana, a spiritualist medium who was active in the Bordeuax region, and a member of the Cercle Girondin. After a number of years she began to practice her own form of spirit healing, apparently a fusion of folk medicine and "spirit-guided" healing, that included freeing patients from malevolent spirits who caused their maladies. Some light chipping to the spine-label, a few light marks to rear board. Pages evenly but quite heavily toned due to the paper stock used. Still a tight, clean VG+ copy of an uncommon work.
