Colour frontispiece and 48 page colour facsimile of two previously unpublished pictorial "grimoires" by Austin Osman Spare: "The Focus of Life & The Papyrus of Amen-AOS" (1905-1906) and "The Arcana of AOS & the Consciousness of Kia-Ra" (1906). Being largely pictorial, these are not what most people would think of as grimoires, but Michael Staley has cogently argued for the applicability of the term to them in his accompanying Introduction. In addition to the facsimiles and the Introduction, the book also contains two especially written essays on the works: "Missing Links, Hidden Keys" by William Wallace, and "The Transmutation Notebooks" by Stephen Pochin.
