This, the second Italian-published edition, limited to 200 hand numbered copies. This copy signed by the publisher Italian artist and Spare enthusiast Roberto Migliussi on the limitation page. A nicely produced facsimile edition of "Earth Inferno," Spare's first published book which was originally published in an edition of only 265 copies in 1905. "Earth Inferno" was a truly remarkable first book, in it the young artist juxtaposed huge, sometimes sinister images with teasing lyrics to create a vivid image of the darkly magical philosophy which informed his world-view. It was little wonder that his work swiftly attracted the attention of the likes of Aleister Crowley, whose occult fraternity Spare briefly joined. The first Italian-published edition was released by Migliussi in a limited edition in 1999. Fine condition. Item #64294
