As the title suggests, this is an essay on witchcraft in England from the years 1560 - 1660, or the early years of the persecution, published as one of the transactions of the Metropolitan College of the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia. With the stamp of Quatuor Coronati Lodge (the well-known London Lodge devoted to Masonic research) on the upper wrapper (no other markings). From the collection of Dr. M. H. Coleman, although not marked as such. Covers lightly browned - more so at margins, staples slightly rusty, corners creased, pages toned, internally clean and unmarked.
