NP: Published by the author, 1927. First Edition. Hardcover. Quarto. (ii) + 67pp, (paginated and with text on rectos only). Original black cloth with red title, etc. to spine and front cover. Text mechanically reproduced from a typewritten manuscript. The true first edition of Case's now-famous study of the Rosicrucian Initiation system. Case expanded it and released a second edition, with a limitation, a year later.Cloth lightly rubbed with a few faint marks and light ripples, spine edges, ends and corners bruised and heavily chafed with some loss at upper spine and upper corner. Page edges darkened, endpapers unevenly browned, front blank endpaper is detached and has been somewhat inexpertly taped back in at the inner margin, pages toned, tiny tear at lower edge of title page, a few finger marks to page edges. Aside from the repair to the front blank, this would be quite a nice copy: at leat G+. Quite scarce. Item #64466
