Item #64642 Liber XV. O.T.O. Ecclesiae Gnosticae Catholicae Canon Missae [ PARALLEL BRAILLE / ENGLISH TEXT ]. Aleister CROWLEY.

Liber XV. O.T.O. Ecclesiae Gnosticae Catholicae Canon Missae [ PARALLEL BRAILLE / ENGLISH TEXT ].

[ Cleveland, Ohio ]: Black Sun Lodge / Cleveland Sight Center, (2016). First Edition Thus. Softcover. Oblong Quarto (11 x 11 1/2 inches). 34pp (printed on rectos only). Black printed white paper front wrapper with circular sword, spear and chalice design with "Ordo Templi Orientis Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica" around the rim on the front wrapper, back wrapper blank. Wrappers beneath translucent white plastic covers, secured with a 19-hole black comb binding. PARALLEL BRAILLE / ENGLISH TEXT. In Grade 2 braille embossed over laser printed 20 point Arial Black on heavy braille paper. "Liber XV" - the Crowleyan "Gnostic Catholic Mass" - was first published in "The International" in 1918 and then reprinted in "The Equinox Vol. 3 No. I" and "Magick in Theory and Practice" and has subsequently been reprinted in many formats. This, almost certainly the first Braille edition, was produced by Black Sun Lodge of the O.T.O. in conjunction with the Cleveland Sight Center. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discrete book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well-known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. The label can easily be removed without affecting the page, although it would be a shame not to preserve this record of the book's provenance. A fine copy. Item #64642
