Item #64861 Simon Iff: Volume One. Aleister CROWLEY, Edward Kelly.

Simon Iff: Volume One.

Ontario, Canada: Gadfly Productions, ND [ Circa 2003 ]. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Octavo. 100pp. + adverts. Cheaply produced: orange stapled wrappers illustrated and lettered in black on upper cover. A collection of six Crowley's Simon Iff detective stories comprising: "What's in a Name?", "A Sense of Incogruity", "The Ox and the Wheel", "An Old Head on Young Shoulders", "The Pasquaney Puzzle", and "the Monkey and the Buzz saw". From the collection of Clive Harper with his discrete book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well-known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. The label can easily be removed without affecting the page, although it would be a shame not to preserve this record of the book's provenance. Covers lightly rubbed, not great print quality - thus text somewhat faded here and there but still legible. Overall an unmarked VG+ copy. Unusual. Item #64861
