Ali Sloper or The Forty Liars. A Christmas Diversion; containing an essay on......[ Greek letters ]

Santa Cruz CA: Magick Theatre [ Ordo Templi Orientis O.T.O. ], 1990. Reprint. Softcover booklet. Octavo. 28pp. Gold stapled illustrated wrappers with black lettering, b&w hookah smoking Crowley on rear cover. A mystical play by Crowley that was first published in Konx om Pax. As far as we can determine the booklet issued by the Magick Theatre Edition of Santa Cruz in 1987 was its first separate publication. This is the 1990 reprint of that edition - with redesigned cover etc. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discrete book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well-known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. The label can easily be removed without affecting the page, although it would be a shame not to preserve this record of the book's provenance. Rather cheap production values. Covers lightly rubbed else a tight, clean near Fine copy. Item #64872
