Item #64879 The Bonds of Marriage & The Suffragette, two farcical dramas. Aleister CROWLEY.

The Bonds of Marriage & The Suffragette, two farcical dramas.

Santa Cruz, CA: Magick Theatre [ Ordo Templi Orientis O.T.O. ], 1991. First Edition Thus. Softcover booklet. Octavo. 32pp. Pale pink stapled illustrated wrappers with black lettering, b&w photo of Crowley on rear cover. The first Magick Theatre edition combining two short dramas by Crowley. "The Bonds of Marriage" was first published in "The International" (magazine) Vol. XII No.3, March 1918", and "The Suffragette" was first published in "New Age" magazine, May 30, 1908. This booklet is from the collection of Clive Harper with his discrete book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well-known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. The label can easily be removed without affecting the page, although it would be a shame not to preserve this record of the book's provenance. Rather cheap production values. Covers lightly rubbed - but still a bright clean near Fine copy. Item #64879
