The Fatal Force. Aleister CROWLEY.

The Fatal Force.

Santa Cruz CA: Magick Theatre [ Ordo Templi Orientis O.T.O. ], 1988. First Edition Thus. Softcover booklet. Octavo. 60pp. Grey stapled illustrated wrappers with black lettering, b&w photo of a young Crowley on rear cover. The Magick Theatre edition of Crowley's verse play, "The Fatal Force", which was first published in "The Mother's Tragedy and Other Poems" in 1901. This is probably the first separate edition. The booklet is from the collection of Clive Harper with his discrete book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well-known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. The label can easily be removed without affecting the page, although it would be a shame not to preserve this record of the book's provenance. Rather cheap production values. Some very light signs of handling else a tight clean VG+ copy. Item #64881
