Suster was a British Thelemite, educator and author writer who is best known for his biographical studies of Aleister Crowley ("The Legacy of the Beast") and Israel Regardie ("Crowley's Apprentice"), although he also wrote various other works on different historical aspects of the occult, as well as a number of novels.
