Written from the early 1950s onwards, the essays centre revolve around a number of teachers, including Ramana Maharshi, Pagal Haranath, Ramakrishna, Anandamayi Ma, Sivananda, and others. They were originally published in a various Asian journals, as well as the series "Man, Myth and Magic." Several of the essays explore the concept of Advaita, which Grant feels saturated Crowley's work, and which apparently underpinned his own Typhonian Trilogies. Dustjacket design by Steffi Grant.
