(ii pp.) + 1-(76)pp, (+ ii pp. blanks) Hand bound in full brown leather with five raised bands to spine. Patterned endpapers. Printed on thick, light-brown paper stock. Numerous woodcut seals, sigils, designs of magical tools, etc. many full page (the pages with sigils etc. often printed in color). Edition limited to 200 numbered copies, SIGNED by the editor. A grimoire on "magickal invokation" comprising basic instructions on ritual, the preparation of talismans, demons, their attributes, conjurations, etc. apparently compiled from traditional sources by Jon Symon of Acorn Grimoire Makers and published in Ontario. Although undated it was probably published in the late 1970s. According to a publisher's note at the rear the book was "entirely set, bound, engraved (woodcuts), by occultists by hand on an antique hand operated platen press. Our grimoires are made to resemble the books of several centuries ago in the paper, typeface and binding, and our woodcuts lend the air of authenticity needed to invoke the ancient atmosphere the true occultist demands for his surroundings. It is also our policy to make our books in this easy to carry or hide size." Extremely unusual in any form - very few copies can have been printed and distributed. Upper and lower edges are bumped (not uncommon with this edition, as the boards are quite soft and easily bruised), a few faint natural imperfections in leather - otherwise appears fresh and unused. Overall a tight, clean VG+ example of this scarce grimoire. Scarce. Item #65323
