Songs for Italy.

London: Neptune Press. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Octavo. 16pp. Printed stapled wrappers. This copy inscribed & signed by the publisher, Geraldine Beskin on the first leaf. A reprint of this collection of (largely anti-fascist) poetry, originally published in booklet form at around the time of Crowley's expulsion from the Abbey of Thelema at Cefalu in 1923. The poems are "Resurgam et Libertas;" "The Eruption of Aetna;" "Tyrol;" "Tirolo;" "Corfu;" "The Gamblers Last Throw;" "Inferno;" "The Massacre of the Innocents;" "Peaceful and Temporary;" "The Plague Carrier;" "Straddling the Ante;" and "Epigrams." From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. A tight clean near Fine copy. Item #65417
