This copy inscribed by the publisher, Geraldine Beskin on the first blank: "In fond memory of a very Thame evening, Gerry". "The Fun of the Fair" is Crowley's reminiscences - in verse - of the bawdy spectacle of the great festival at Nijni Novgorod (Russia) he visited in 1913. It was originally published in 1942 in an edition of 200 copies. This is an undated reprint from the early seventies. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications.
