The Djeridensis Comment (and Liber AL vel Legis).

Berkeley CA: Oroboros Press, 1994. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Quarto (8.5 x 11 inches) . ii + 41pp. Spiral bound gold & blue card covers printed and illustrated in black. Edition limtied to just 8 hand-numbered copies, this being copy No. 3. From the Introduction of Robert Paul-Goncz: "The Djeridensis Comment" [to "Liber AL"] was written by Crowley at the Hotel du Djerid in the Autumn of 1923 in Tunisia. It remains to this day the most straight forward and comprehensive commentary he ever penned." It was unpublished until 1974 when it was included in "The Magical and Philsophical Commentaries on the Book of the Law". The text is fundamentally the same, although the editor has changed the layout into one he feels is more sensible, and has "added the numeration of the verses." From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Covers lightly shelf worn with a few light marks from handling else a tight, bright VG + copy. An obviously scarce edition. Item #65464
