Essays, Kabbalistic, Magical and Philosophical: an interesting collection by Crowley at his mature best. The first edition. There are two binding variants known - this is the one where the bottom edges of the letters of the title on the front board bottom are all flush with one another (on the other variant the sloping 'leg' of the letter R in 'Toward' and 'Truth' on the front board extends below the bottom edge of the other letters in the words on that line). The order of precedence of the two issues is not known. Some copies have an Addendum sheet tipped-in, this copy does not. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. A hint of rubbing to the head and tail of spine and the points, a little light shelf-wear. Internally unusually bright, tight and clean. A lovely VG+ copy (lacks the seldom-seen dust jacket).
