The fifth edition of this broad-ranging collection and exploration of Norse mythology that was first published in 1875. The author, Rasmus Bjørn Anderson (1846 – 1936), was an American of Nordic descent, whose works were instrumental in popularising the discovery that Viking explorers were the first Europeans to arrive in the New World. A bit of light bumping and chafing to spine ends and corners, a few tiny tears at upper spine, front hinge very slightly loosened, page edges darkened, pencilled name on title page, else a clean and unmarked copy.
